Aqus Café has been created to foster community; it is a watering hole, a gathering place, a conversation room, a wonderful example of a 3rd space. Here, our main purpose in creating social capital is to provide a space for people to meet, connect and get to know each other. 

We do this because we believe that to fix the fabric of society we have to first start by meeting, connecting and getting to know and understand each other.

How do you say AQUS?

So where does the name AQUS come from? There are a couple of rumored stories about it...

1. it was a nice sounding 4 letter domain name that was still available.

2. it is a combination of the Latin word AQUA and the English US, as in community.

3. It has no inherent meaning and thus no preconceptions and no baggage. However you are creating a meaning for the name by what happens at the cafe.

4. it is that indescribable energy that connects us with one another.
